YOUTH SEXUAL HEALTH

Our youth sexual health education curriculum includes medically accurate, developmentally appropriate, and culturally relevant content and skills that target key behavioral outcomes and promote healthy sexual development.
Our service

We support Eastern Bay of Plenty education providers with a comprehensive programme focusing on ‘Relationship and Sexuality’ for young people, who attend primary or secondary school or an alternative education facility. The programme material aligns with the New Zealand education curriculum and is age and stage appropriate. We offer ‘Train-the-Trainer’ type programmes to schools, staff, and whānau.

The programme covers the following topics:
• Basic Anatomy
• Healthy Relationships
• Decision Making/Choices
• Conception/Pregnancy
• Gender/Sexuality
• Body Image/Media
• STI’s
• Contraception & Abortion
• Consent & The Law
• Alcohol/Drugs and Sex
• Sexual Violence
• Pornography
