Cervical Screening

Around 85% of people who develop cervical cancer in New Zealand have either never been screened or have not had regular screening. The National Cervical Screening Programme aims reach more people and save more lives with current changes being implemented. We have clinics available to help you get screened.

Our service

Te Ratonga

We provide appointments or walk-in clinic on Wednesdays at our Lovain Street location from 3pm – 8pm.

There are now two options for having your cervical screening test: a vaginal swab where you can self-test or a trained professional can assist you or, you can choose to have a cervical sample (what used to be called a smear test) taken by a healthcare provider.
