Recap of current announcements
- An Australian traveller from Sydney who visited Wellington from Saturday, 19 June to Monday, 21 June has tested positive upon his return to Australia
- Wellington will move to Alert Level 2 at 6pm on Wednesday, 23 June until 11.59pm on Sunday, 27 June
- Good news – the rest of New Zealand will remain at Alert Level 1
- Travel from New South Wales, excluding Norfolk Island, is paused for 72 hours
What does this mean for me?

- If you were at any of these locations, please follow the relevant advice
- If you were on the Wellington-bound flight, you’re advised to immediately isolate at your home, and call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice

What if I need a COVID-19 test?
- The Whakatāne Community COVID-19 Testing Centre have extended their operating times.
- Location: 52B King St, Whakatāne (Portacom outside Med Central, Entry via James St)
- Open: Weds 23rd June: 3.30pm – 6.30pm
- Thursdays 24th June: 3.30pm – 7.30pm
- Friday 25th June: 3.30pm – 7.30pm
- Saturday 26th June: 9am – 5pm
- Sunday 27th June: 9am – 5pm

- To wear face masks on public transport
