We support Eastern Bay of Plenty education providers with a comprehensive programme focusing on ‘Relationship and Sexuality’ for young people, who attend primary or secondary school or an alternative education facility. The programme material aligns with the New Zealand education curriculum and is age and stage appropriate. We offer ‘Train-the-Trainer’ type programmes to schools, staff, and whānau.

Free emergency contraceptive pill (ECP) is available at all Pharmacies free to under 26-year-olds.
Clinic 1 is a free and confidential service, available for all ages, based at Whakatāne Hospital.
They offer contraception, pregnancy tests, sexual health check-ups, treatments, advice and information.

This is mainly a Drop-In Clinic with limited spaces, so it’s first in, first seen. There are a limited number of pre-booked appointments available. These will become drop-in appointments if not booked before the start of the clinic.
Thursday afternoons: 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
This is an Appointment Clinic. Any appointments that are not booked at our Thursday clinic will be available for drop ins, but this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Fridays: 9am to 3pm.
