Workplace Wellbeing Immunisation Webinar

This webinar will be facilitated by the National Public Health Service (NPHS) and will include presentations from keynote speakers from the NPHS and Waiariki Whanau Mentoring.
Immunisation is an important tool available, providing individual and community protection from vaccine preventable diseases. Workplaces are in a unique position to support and encourage eligible employees and their tamariki to be vaccinated.

GP-Led Māori Alcohol and Drug Training
Webinar and In person
Whare Tukutuku invite GPs to attend upcoming training – He Mana Ake GP-Led Māori Alcohol and Drug Training. This training is intended for GPs to help increase their confidence to initiate conversations about alcohol and drugs with their patients and understand what support they can provide.
There are three sessions available:
1. Online Webinar: Monday 7 April 2025, 6.30pm-8pm – Understanding the impact of alcohol for Māori and providing support for whānau with alcohol-related challenges.
2. Online Webinar: Thursday 17 April 2025, 6.30pm-8pm – Understanding the impact of methamphetamine and other drugs for Māori and providing support for whānau.
3. Auckland In-person Wānanga: Saturday 10 May 2025, 10am-3pm – A comprehensive session covering the impact of alcohol, methamphetamine, and other drugs for Māori, including managing withdrawal.

Navigating Menopause – Key Insights into MHT

While the pathways will provide details on the breadth of MHT options, this webinar will build on your existing knowledge and focus on the practical and common prescribing considerations.
Topics include
- Indications for MHT in 2025 (and prescribing guidelines)
- Myths and evidence about risks and contraindications of MHT
- Addressing a range of common questions, including counselling women about the use of MHT and managing its common side effects
Target audience
This education session is suitable for general practitioners and nurse practitioners who would like to gain further experience in managing menopausal women and prescribing MHT.

Cervical Screening Training
Blended Learning 8 Hours Online Modules and 8 Hours Practical Day
To strengthen the cervical screening workforce across the motu there are a number of Cervical Screening Course being held in 2025.
The course is offered in a blended learning format, with the theoretical component available online via Tāku Ako and a single-day practical session for hands-on training with our experienced nurse educators.
Closest location and date for EBOP is May 22 – Tauranga but others are on offer.

GP 25: Conference for General Practice
CONFERENCE
The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners invites health professionals to attend GP25: Conference for General Practice. Held from 24–26 July 2025 at Te Pae Convention Centre in Ōtautahi Christchurch, this event brings together practitioners to connect, learn, and celebrate their profession.
This year’s programme begins on Thursday, 24 July, with CME workshops exclusively for College members, followed by the main conference sessions on Friday and Saturday. The event concludes on Saturday evening with the Fellowship and Awards ceremony and a celebratory function.
