Edgecumbe Pharmacy has been offering free COVID vaccinations for three weeks and Unichem Total Health since August 26th.
“The uptake of the vaccination at Unichem Total Health Pharmacy on The Strand has been fabulous, said pharmacist Becky Li.
“Especially because we started during lockdown and the booking platform just went crazy. We were fully booked for three or four weeks. Everybody has been very supportive of our pharmacy providing the vaccination. Even today we are all booked out,” she said.
“It is mostly the older population who are fully vaccinated with both does and now it is mainly people in their 20s or 30s or even families coming in together with their kids, which is really good.”
Edgecumbe Pharmacy are also offering after-hours vaccinations on Friday nights as well as on Saturdays.
“We are happy to vaccinate everyone and anyone over 12 years old,” said pharmacist Megan Aldridge.
“We have been fully booked, but we now have spaces available every day.”
